Celebrity Host Jimmy Fallon gives Nintendo’s newest game Super Mario Run and newest console the Nintendo Switch in front of a very special guest.
Sometimes it’s good to be a celebrity and in this case that celebrity is Jimmy Fallon. The host of The Tonight Show played Super Mario Run for iOS. Even though President of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé coached Jimmy the entire way, Jimmy didn’t do so bad. Jimmy Fallon had the pressure on having to play in front of a live audience but also Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto. Mr. Miyamoto is the creator of Nintendo classics Donkey Kong, Zelda and Mario. Jimmy performs well under pressure and even impresses Mr. Miyamoto. Super Mario Run for iOS is being released on December 15th, 2016, most noteworthy is the demo will be playable for everyone on December 8th, 2016 at any Apple store worldwide.
Jimmy moves on to the Nintendo Switch
Next Jimmy checks out the Nintendo Switch, which is Nintendo’s newest game console. Hyped to blur the lines between mobile and console gaming. Seems like this new console will be Nintendo’s biggest entry to date. Also Reggie Fils-Amié casually confirms release date of March 2017. While no big secret that the then called Nintendo NX would be releasing in March 2017, it is nice to have some solid confirmation from the President of Nintendo North America himself. While rumors are saying March 17, 2017, which puts the release date on a Friday. The true launch date isn’t going to be revealed until the Nintendo Direct Conference on January 12th, 2016.
In conclusion, Jimmy Fallon is very likable in this clip. He shows that he is a passionate gamer and a big fan of Nintendo. My own love for Nintendo died with the N64, I do hope this new console will reignite the love for such a treasured company. I know I will see everyone in line in March for the new Nintendo Switch, don’t forget any drop/damage protection plan, I feel we will all need it.
